Job Overview:
We are seeking an organised and proactive Service Desk Manager/Coordinator to join the team in Aylesbury. This key position is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our service desk, coordinating engineer schedules, liaising with clients, and ensuring smooth delivery of fire protection services.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and schedule daily activities for field service engineers.
Manage all incoming service desk queries via phone and email.
Serve as the first point of contact for customer inquiries, ensuring excellent service and prompt resolution.
Maintain accurate service records, documentation, and logs.
Order and track materials required for service jobs.
Liaise with suppliers and monitor delivery timelines.
Support the service manager and other departments with administrative tasks.
Monitor job progress and follow up with engineers to ensure timely completion.
Handle invoicing and job closure processes in coordination with the accounts team.
Requirements:
Proven experience in a service coordinator, scheduler, or similar administrative role.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Familiarity with scheduling software or service desk platforms is a plus.
Experience in the fire protection or building services sector is desirable but not essential.
