Job Title: Fire Alarm and Fire Extinguisher Engineer

Location: Essex & London (with some UK-wide travel as required)
Job Type: Full-Time, Travel to sites
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 (depending on experience + bonuses)
Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fire Alarm and Fire Extinguisher Engineer to join our team. This is a full-time, on-site position primarily based in London, with travel across the UK as required. The role involves the installation, maintenance, testing, and inspection of fire alarm systems and fire extinguishers, ensuring full compliance with current fire safety regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and testing of fire alarm systems
Inspect, maintain, and service fire extinguishers
Ensure all fire safety systems comply with applicable regulations and standards
Accurately diagnose and resolve faults in fire protection systems
Complete service reports and maintain accurate records
Provide excellent customer service and communicate clearly with clients
Occasionally travel and stay overnight when working with clients outside the London area (including locations across the UK)
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Fire Alarm and/or Fire Extinguisher Engineer
Strong knowledge of fire safety legislation, codes, and standards
Experience with fire suppression systems is desirable
Relevant certifications in fire safety engineering or a related field
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Flexibility to travel and work away from home when required
Salary and Benefits:
Starting salary from £40,000 per annum
