Location: Based in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire | Covering London & Southeast

The Opportunity
We’re seeking motivated and experienced engineers to become part of our growing team at MATRIX Fire & Security Ltd. If you have a background in installing, maintaining, or commissioning fire, security, or gate automation systems, we’d love to hear from you. Familiarity with CCTV and access control systems is a plus, though full training can be provided.

What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be responsible for the service, fault-finding, and commissioning of a wide range of systems, including fire alarms, access control, security systems, and automated gates. A solid understanding of British Standards and a commitment to working to high safety and compliance standards is essential.

Your Key Responsibilities

Perform scheduled maintenance and commissioning tasks for fire, security, and gate systems
Diagnose faults and carry out responsive repairs
Accurately complete service and maintenance documentation
Follow all work instructions, policies, and health and safety procedures under your supervisor's guidance
Maintain detailed records and uphold documentation standards
Participate in the on-call rota alongside your team
Additional Responsibilities

Take on other reasonable duties as requested by your line manager
Contribute to team development and support junior staff if required
Adhere to all company policies and procedures
Take part in training and development as needed
Health & Safety

Follow health and safety policies at all times
Comply with relevant legislation and internal safety guidelines
Carry out and observe risk assessments where applicable
Encourage a culture of safety and injury prevention
Environmental Commitments

What We’re Looking For

At least 2 years of hands-on experience in a similar role
A valid UK driving licence
Understanding of British Standards relating to system maintenance and commissioning
Good awareness of health and safety procedures
Strong customer service skills and a professional approach
Comfortable using laptops, test equipment, and reporting tools
Ability to manage paperwork promptly and accurately
Team player with good communication skills
Enthusiastic, eager to learn, and looking to progress within the company
